We help busy parents and children of aging parents reclaim their time, reduce overwhelm, and stay focused on what truly matters — their families, their goals, and their peace of mind.

Why? Because military spouses deeply understand what it means to juggle a million things with grace under pressure.
In addition, The Village Assist wants to give back to those that give so much. Military spouses struggle to find remote work that fits their nomadic lifestyle, but being a virtual assistant allows them to take their work wherever they live.
By offering military spouses an opportunity to have a flexible, move-friendly career we can help combat some some of the biggest issues military families face including food and financial insecurities, military mental health issues, and service member retainment.

Family Assistants
Our Family Assistants help manage the recurring tasks and invisible admin that keep a household running. From meal planning and grocery ordering to school email summaries, appointment scheduling, online returns, reminders, research, and family logistics, we help take tasks off your plate so you can be more present at home.

Aging Parent Assistants
Caring for an aging parent often begins with one appointment. Then it becomes paperwork, follow-ups, sibling texts, prescription questions, transportation logistics, bills, and constant worry. Our Aging Parent Assistants help families organize, coordinate, and manage the administrative side of caregiving.
Support may include:
Appointment scheduling, care coordination, paperwork organization, prescription tracking, provider research, sibling communication summaries, transportation planning, bill reminders, and follow-up management.

Our House Manager Directory helps families connect with trained, certified, and background-checked house managers. Instead of starting from scratch, families can search for professionals who understand household support, family logistics, and the standards expected inside a modern home.
House managers listed in the directory are independent business owners. Families are encouraged to conduct their own interviews, reference checks, insurance verification, and final vetting before hiring.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
01. How am I matched with my Family Assistant?
Your will fill out our custom intake form which not only asks what things you are needing help with from your Family Assistant, but also some identifying personality traits so we can match you with someone that works well with you and for you.
02. What happens after I'm matched?
Your Family Assistant will contact you to set up an initial meeting to discuss your needs, your family, and start the on-boarding process of getting necesary information from you. She will also send you a form to fill out with any allergy information, dietary restrictions, or any other important things you need her to know.
03. How do I get in touch with my Family Assistant?
You can get in touch with your Family Assistant via email or by message via Signal
Please keep in mind that all of our Family Assistants work remotely and they are not obligated to respond outside of working hours or on weekends.
We value their family time as much as we value yours.
04. What if I need to change my Family Assistant?
Personality conflicts happen, and sometimes we can't see it right away. If you and your Family Assistant aren't vibing, we will match you with another Assistant within 48 hours. You do not need to go through the on-boarding process again- your new Family Assistant will have all your information.
05. How do I cancel my Family Assistant membership?
We hate to see you go! If we can't make it right or you feel its time to change direction, we totally understand. Your Family Assistant will finish out the month with you.
You must request a cancellation of membership before the 15th of the month, as our Family Assistants work in advance for Daily and Weekly SitReps and other tasks. If cancellation is requested after the 15th of the month, you will be charged for the following month membership cost.
06. When does my Family Assistant work?
We have Family Assistants all over the world, and we try to ensure you have one close to your timezone. Family Assistants work on a flexible daily schedule that fits their own family needs, but they are generally responsive during the business day with at least an acknowledgement of your text or email. You should hear from your Family Assistant within a maximum of 24 business hours.
Our Family Assistants are not obligated to respond after 5pm or on weekends or US Federal Holidays.
07. How do you make sure my private information is safe?
We completely understand your need for privacy and keeping your private information safe.
For all passwords and billing information, you will create an account in LastPass and share any pertinent information with your Family Assistant (don't worry, we show you how).
All Family Assistants are also required to sign an NDA to ensure that none of your private personal information like family details, etc are shared with parties outside of them and the admin team of Family Assistants.
